Last week after a business meeting (that ended in colaboration, yayyy!! :) I went to my private paradise in London, Marni at Sloane Street. Perfect place where I can find friends and art...what else?
It was already there the perfume a lot of Marni followers have been waiting for so long (I'm not a big fan of perfumes).
I'm using here Consuelo Castiglioni's words to describe the fragrance: "The perfume reflects Marni's fashion, certainly. It is quite individual and doesn't evoke anything in particular. It is for a woman (or men) who dresses for herself, who doesn't follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric." And about the bottle: "The individuality of the brand is reflected in the design of the bottle as well, whichis the memory of an old bottle that I found at a flea market 20 years ago. I wanted a bottle that was kind of traditional, that is, one that last over time, like the clothes we make. It isn't seasonal. I think this bottle reflects our concept - you want to keep it. It also has the dots, which are part of our world, and a play of proportions with the cap. These elements are also important in our fashion."
Of course it can be liked or not but what it is true is that the new perfume is so Marni. It has three different notes: first smell is peppercorn and cinnamon bark, the second is black rose and the third one is cedar wood. Lasting the first smell only for 20 minutes. I tested it and i have to say at first it is a little bit funny but after few seconds it gets more and more interesting, bringing to my mind the very old perfumes' essence. And the bottle is absolutely gorgeous. Would I get one? Who knows ;)

La semana pasada y después de una reunión que acabo en colaboración (yay!!!! :) me pasé por mi paraíso en Londres, Marni en Sloane Street. Aquí, como siempre, encuentro amigos y arte :)
Acababa de llegar a la tienda el primer perfume de la marca y que tantos fans esperaban ansiosos (yo no soy muy amigo de perfumes y colonias). Sobre el aroma dice Consuelo Castiglioni: "No evoca a nada en particular, y va dirigido a una mujer (u hombre) que viste según sus gustos y necesidades, sin seguir ninguna tendencia (?pero aun existen las tendencias?); que viste para si misma y que es elegante y quizás un poco excéntrica. El bote es clásico y tradicional, inspirado por un bote que encontré en un mercadillo hace 20 años, y expresa la filosofía de la marca que es el crear algo que no pasa de moda."
Puede gustar más o puede gustar menos, y son criticas de toda clase las que está recibiendo este primer perfume de Marni, pero hay algo cierto y es que todo lo que lo envuelve es muy Marni. El perfume se compone de tres notas: la primera consta de granos de pimienta y corteza de canela, la segunda es aroma de rosa negra y la tercera es madera de cedro. La primera nota sólo mantiene el aroma durante veinte minutos, dando paso entonces al increíble olor de la rosa negra... Lo probé el día que visité la tienda y he de decir que aunque al principio es un poco raro, pasados unos segundos, empieza a convertirse en un aroma más y más interesante, recordándome a esos perfumes de antaño y tan clásicos como Miss Dior que siguen siendo tan válidos hoy en día; y el bote es precioso. Me haré con uno? Ya veremos ;)
