GRUAU VS DIOR

Love, Daniel

It was two sundays ago when after waking up a little bit later than ususal, we went to have an English Breakfast to that cute and super Londoner coffee at Liverpool Street, and after that, towards the Thames, we walked around the City, completely empty and so relaxed. I love walking around this area on Sundays as during weekdays is so full of business men and people, but on the weekend I love enjoyin the skyscraper and neoclassical buildings on Bank or Moorgate.
I really wanted to go to Rene Gruau´s exhibition about Christian Dior´s parfums since I knew it was in London, but I never had time, so when we bumped into Somerset House during our walk by the river, I couldn´t scape.
Amazing, so beautiful exhibition. It was so emotional to see face to face Gruau´s drawings, the beauty of the imperfection in the outline sketch and that glamour-chic in every single ilustration.
I could read that Gruau and Dior had a very close relationship and both of them were inspired by their aristocratic mothers.
Beautiful and for only 6 pounds (and you will get a little book as well). And you will see couture dresses by Christian Dior and John Galliano for Dior.
So go and live for a few moments the decadence of an era...
Love, Daniel

So Warmy!!!!!!! :)

Disfrutad!!!

Ok, the winter is here so the snow and the freezing temperatures (degrees below zero).
Anyway, last saturdayon my way to My Fair to get some trimmings for my new collection :) I saw just at the end of my street in Spitalfields Market, ALBAM shop, so I poped in. ALBAM is an amazing brand; English and very young brand (started only three years ago). I love the quality and the smart designs, very clasic but so cool. I never liked hats on me but that cold made me change and I got a super cute blue wool hat with a pompon.
After buying the trimmings I still had some free time so I had a look to the gallries around My Fair and I finish in HAY HILL where a Rodin exhibition was shared with Ali Jabar´s paintings and Philip Michael Wolfson´s designs super interesting and... free!!!
Hope you enjoy it.
Love, Daniel

Ending the Day Off :)

Nothing better to finish an amazing day off as having dinner-tea in a Spanish Restaurant, La Viña. We had already been here, so when my English suggested to take me here for dinner again, I just said YES!!!!!!! :)
The environment is very nice as it reminds me a farmhouse and all the time you can listen to the best flamenco music, such as Camarón de la Isla.
We had some tapas and my favourite were: prawns in a garlic sauce, black pudding and grilled sardines, yummy!!!! ;P
A good Rioja red wine to drink... and ready to go to bed!! Such an amazing ending for my day off ;)

Such a Day Off :)

All my love, Daniel

I love days off on weekdays as the city looks so much quiet, clean and I love seeing people going to work from a relax point of view.
Actually my day off started last night when after my job i went to Southbank Centre where Paco de Lucia´s concert was. Amazing he and his team, especially el Duquende and the dancer Antonio Fernandez Montoya. Brilliant that flamenco-jazz fusion. Amzing experience specially for my English :)
And this morning, when I woke up and I saw the sun shining like crazy, I step on my Nikes and I went straight away to Leila´s Coffee Shop to have my breakfast. Delicious cafe latte and toast with butter and mermelada ;P
The place is quite cute but I have to say sometimes little bit pretentious. Anyway you go and have a lovely coffee with toast or eggs with bacon or the polish breakfast.
After the breakfast I walked to White Cube Gallery at Hoxton Sq and I saw the interesting exhibition of Rachel Kneebone.
And when I finished I took the 55 and visited SKANDIUM at Marylebone Hight St, where I bought a beautiful thing (but I will tell you in my next post ;)
And now... little bit of love with my English :)
So be good and please, YOU ENJOY YOUR DAYS OFF!!!!!
