Few weeks ago, walking by the latin Quarter in Paris, I saw one of the most beautiful and delicate things I've ever seen. It was in Galerie Geraldine Baniea (54, Rue Jacob) and I instantly fell in love. I'm talking about the sculptures made by Sylvie Mangaud. They are made in bronze and the proportions are all lightness, finesse and elegance. Sylvie originally trained as a photographer which allows her to seize the movement, emotion, and capture of the moment. Meanwhile, she studied morphology that will make her to observe and understand the intricacies of the body. The unintentional distortion of her first pieces became her signature giving all her bronzes dimension slender, airy and sensual. I started collecting little sculptures of horses at an early age and I can't wait to have one of the horses by Sylvie Mangaud, they are just a dream.

Hace unas semanas, paseando por el Barrio latino en París me topé con una de las cosas más bellas y delicadas que jamás he visto. Me refiero a las pequeñas esculturas de bronce de Sylvie Mangaud en la Galerie Geraldine Baniea (54, Rue Jacob). Estas delicadas figurillas son absolutamente ligeras en peso y proporciones; increíblemente elegantes y sensuales. Sus inicios en el mundo de la fotografía permitieron a Sylvie detener el movimiento, la emoción y la captura del momento. Mientras tanto estudió morfología, lo que le ayudará a comprender las complejidades del cuerpo. La involuntaria distorsión de sus primeras esculturas se convertiría en su sello, impregnando a sus esculturas de dimensiones y lineas puras y esbeltas. Desde muy pequeño me dio por coleccionar figuritas de caballos y he de decir que no puedo esperar a tener uno de los preciosos caballos de bronce de Sylvie Mangaud, son un auténtico sueño.
