PICNICIN'

Ya de vuelta de mis vacaciones y con muy buen sabor de boca... cinco dias de los cuales pasé dos con la familia de mi Inglés en Frijiliana (Málaga) en una preciosa villa que alquilaron, y otros tres dias en Almería sintiendo por fin un poquito de calor, playa, amigos y bonitas charlas y paseos con mamá :)
Y al regreso me esperaban en Coruña unos dias de una tª buenísima, sobre todo el sábado. Un sol fantástico y los suficientes ºC como para dejar en casa chaquetas y rebecas (el domingo volvieron el frío y la lluvia).
Pero el sábado, quizás previendo que ese dia no se repetiría mucho más, después del desayuno en la marina y la compra en el mercado central, mi Inglés me invitó a un PICNIC en las colinas de los alrededores de la Torre de Hércules. Unas vistas maravillosas y una paz que no tienen precio. Preparamos unos tupper con delicioso pollo asado con salsa Mamma Rosa (+34 675344183) que nos regalaron en el mercado ;) y ensalada de manzana, uvas, baby-cebolla, olivas y tomate, y he de decir que ni en el mejor de los restaurantes se come taaaan bien, y sobre todo, GRATIS!!! Usamos una de las mesas de la zona de picnic resguardada del viento por árboles y con vistas al mar... y es que cuando uno quiere, pasar un maravilloso momento cuesta muy poco ;)

Back from my beautiful holidays; I had five amazing days, two in Frijiliana (Málaga) with my English and his lovely family :) and three in Almería: hot weather, beaches, friends and chats and walks with mami :)
And when I came back it was lovely weather in Coruña for few days, specially last saturday, as sunny and warm that I didn´t have to wear any jacket or cardingan. So after having breakfast by the marina and buying on the market, my English took me to a PICNIC!!!! :)
We prepared tupperwares with grilled chicken with Mamma Rosa's sauce (+34 675344183) they gave us as a present on the market and a delicious salad my English made with grapes, apple, tomatoe, baby-onion, olives and jamón, just DELICIOUS. We went to the area picnic by the Hercules Tower, beautiful hills by the sea and cliffs. So actually is easy if you want to have a gorgeous and beautiful moment and even for free!!! So, your next day off, you prepare an easy food and go with people you love (or on your own) to a place you like and enjoy the beauty of the moment ;)

Qué ponerse en un dia de picnic? Como siempre, muy cómodo. Camisa que le compré a mi amigo Iván en Londres, de la marca Tableclothe, pantalones de algodón que compré para la boda de Nadia hace unos cuatro años, de Zara Woman, el sombrero es de mi Inglés, zapatos de D'Aniel, bolsa de Waitrose, mi súper favorito de Londres :)

MARKET UP ON SATURADY MORNING

Los sábados por la mañana se están convirtiendo en el día del mercado por excelencia, después de una semana de trabajo, ese día es sagrado para el shopping (el food-shopping para ser exactos ;). 

Levantarnos un poco más tarde (nunca después de la diez de la mañana), un buen desayuno, y si el tiempo lo permite, un café en el parque de camino al mercado de la Plaza de Lugo, el que para mi es el mejor de la ciudad. Una rutina a la que le estoy cogiendo el gustillo, aunque me da a mi que en cuanto pase el verano tendré que sacrificarla un poco, o por lo menos, deleitarme menos en este placer ya que dentro de poco los fines de semana van a estar también ocupados por el trabajo (ya os contaré ;)

Pero de momento... a disfrutar de largos paseos por el puerto deportivo, deliciosos desayunos y buena comida en el mercado que en casa se transforma en maravillosos platos (qué partido se le puede sacar al horno!!) y encima, ahorrar en restaurantes.

Saturday morning are becoming the shopping day for food in the amazing Mercado de la Plaza de Lugo where you can find the best seafood of the city (I will be brave enough to say the best in the country), and vegetables and meat. Getting up a little bit late (9´30-10am), walking by the marina if the weather is nice and having a coffe in the park, is being part of the "ritual" before the shooping-food.

Maybe after the summer I could spend that much time as I think weekends I should be working too (I will let you know soon ;) but by now, I´ll keep enjoying the beautiful walks and breakfast at the marina, and the gorgeous food we get in the Food Market in Plaza de Lugo that it becomes in beautiful menus after cooking it (good way to save money from restaurants and enjoying the house :)

What to wear to go to the food market?

My old Marni tshirt I bought in Bicester Village in England couple of years ago; Marc Jacobs canvas shopping bag, gift from la Mayte; Diesel trousers Estel, my flatgirl, gave me; my new shoes from D´Aniel(the leather is soooo soft and thin).

SUNNY COFFEE :)

Hace un par de semanas, salí temprano del trabajo (a las tres :) y encima... HACIA SOL!!!!! Sol que llevaba sin ver bastantes semanas. Por eso decidí de camino a casa comprarme algunas revistas y leer la crónica social y ponerme al día (desde que me mudé a Londres he perdido completamente el hilo) y tomar un delicioso café en la terraza del café La Dársena, un lugar con carisma y creo que con historia, seguramente punto de encuentro de escritores y artistas quizás en otra época, quizás también hoy día... al lado de casa y con maravillosas vistas al puerto deportivo. Hacía un sol y una temperatura que hasta me pude quedar en manga corta (parece mentira que diga esto cuando estábamos a mediados de Julio :S ). Tan emocionado estaba con el buen tiempo que decidí comprar unos billetes para ir a Oviedo el fin de semana y darle una sorpresilla a mi Inglés ;)
Y es que el sol, aunque haya que tomarlo con una buena crema protectora, alegra la vida :)

Couple of weeks ago, and after a while (long while) the sun was shinning!!!!! :)
On friday I finish working at 3pm (only on summer) and on my way home, I decided to buy few magazines and go on my own to read about the spanish society and trends and have a beautiful coffee at La Dársena, a very nice and carismatic coffee shop I think it was a meeting point for writers and artist in another era, maybe still is... with views to the marina and just by my house. The weather was that nice than I could even wear short sleeves!!! (Sounds crazy saying that in July!!!). I was that excited that I decided to get a ticket to spend the weekend in Oviedo- Asturias and give a little surprise to my English ;)
I know we have to protect very well from the sun but it gives us a lot of happyness and LIVE too :)

Qué llevaba puesto? Como venía de trabajar, ropa muy cómoda: mis zapatillas ALL STAR blancas que me compré en Londres en Spitalfield al lado de casa, vaqueros CHEAP MONDAY que me vendió Pablo, chaqueta de algodón de DAVID DELFÍN que me compré hace como seis años, mi camiseta de COS que adoro porque es súper grande, foulard de seda de ELIO BERHANYER que me regalaron cuando empecé a tranajar como diseñador de Elio y la llevo todos los dias todos los veranos; mi inseparable Amazona de LOEWE.

What was I wearing? As I was coming from work, I was wearing very comfy items: white ALL STAR I bought in Spitalfield in London; CHEAP MONDAY skinny jeans I bought from my friend Pablo in London; DAVID DELFIN cotton jacket I bought in Madrid like 6 years ago; COS tshirt that I love because is huge and super comfy; ELIO BERHANYER silk scarf I wear it everytime in summers since I got it when I started being part of the Elio Berhanyer designing team; my inseparable Amazona handbag from LOEWE.

Acabo de llegar a casa tras un largo dia de trabajo, la clase de pilates y una cervecita en la Feria Medieval que la tengo debajo de casa; y qué me he encontrado en el buzón?!?! :)  Facturas y UNA POSTAL de Davinia desde Roma!!!!!! :D (Para mi y mi Inglés, claro :)
Me ha hecho tanta ilusión que tengo que compartirla con todos vosotros, porque de eso se trata mi blog, de compartir la alegría y los buenos momentos que vivo para hacerlos aún más grandes al vivirlos un poco entre todos.
Ya sabéis que Davinia y Juan se casaron a principios de Julio (click aquí ) y están disfrutando de esas tres maravillosas semanas de Luna de Miel por toda Italia (gracias por pensar en mi chicos!! ;) y seguid disfrutando MUUUUCHO!!!!! xxxxxx

I just got home after a long day of work, pilates classes and a beer in the Medieval Market placed just by my house and... do you guess what it was in my mailbox??? Yes, bills and... A POST CARD from Davinia from Rome!!!!! :) (For me and my English :)
Probably you remember Davinia and Juan they got married the 2nd of July (click here) and now they are enjoying these three week around Italy (they luckies ;) thank you for thinking on me guys!!
I had to tell you about the postcard as it made me soooooo happy when I saw it, and my blog is about sharing the beautiful moments I live just to make you feel them too :)

My Best Friend Wedding...

El sábado 2 de Julio se casó Davinia, y Davinia no es cualquiera, es la persona con la que llevo compartiendo amistad más de 25 años!!
Desde que éramos pequeños hemos soñado con nuestro principe azul y al final, alli que estaba ella, en una roca sobre el mar, radiante como siempre y dando el SI QUIERO a Juan, el hombre que ha conseguido convertirse en su marido. Pero Davinia no es la única que forma el grupo de las largas amistades. El mismo tiempo y camino llevamos recorridos con Garcia y Lucía. Y allí estuvimos, una vez más los cuatro juntos, y por primera vez con nuestros príncipes azules cada uno (princesa azul en el caso de García ;).
El entorno fue absolutamente bello, Davinia y Juan escogieron para casarse una roca en la playa de los Escullos en Almeria, bajo el brillante Sol y con el azulísimo cielo de fondo, rodeados de dunas, vegetación desértica y refrescante mar.
Tras la ceremonia nos fuimos a cenar y BAILOTEAR al Hotel los Escullos, fantástica comida y ricas copas junto a la piscina ;)
No me lo pude haber pasado mejor, disfrutar ese rato en compañía de mis mejores amigos y mi Inglés, y ver lo bien que se entendian fue maravilloso.
Y el colofón para el fin de semana fue el bautizo de mi Paulita al dia siguiente de la boda; ver a todos mis hermanos juntos, mis sobrinos, mamá... Uuuffff me volví a la Coruna con las pilas más que cargadas (y eso que casi dos dias se fueron en viajes!!).
Un finde del que me acordaré cada vez que necesite levantar el ánimo.
Felicidades a los novios y todo el amor a mi sobrina Paula.

The 2nd of July, Davinia got married. Davinia is this beautiful person I´m sharing friendship with for more than 25 years!!! We started school together, High school, University, sports, hobbies... EVERYTHING!!
Since we were little kids we dreamt on our "true love" and it was beautiful to seeing her on her wedding day, on top of a rock by the sea, getting married with hers.
Is not only she the one who has beeing doing the friendship way all these years, García and Lucia are our best friends all over those 25 years too ;) and it was beautifull beeing all together that day and all of us with our "dreamed prince" (dreamed princess for García ;).
Davinia and Juan they chose a beautiful paradise to get married. A rock over the sea in Los Escullos in Almería, with the white light of the sun, the beautiful blue of the sky as a background, desertic lands and cool water from the sea (everything in one!!).
After the ceremony we walk down the hill to the nice Hotel Los Escullos, where we had an amazing dinner-tea and so much fun drinking cocktails and dancing by the swimming pool :) I couldn´t have felt happier, with my best friends and my English all together!!!
And the day after, my niece´s baptism. Beautiful to seeing all my siblings together, nieces and nephew, mamá, family...
Such an amazing weekend that I will remember everytime I feel blue.
All the HAPPINESS for the just married couple and all the love for Paula, mi little niece.

Para la boda elegí el siguiente outfit pensando un poco en el calorazo de Almería en pleno Julio y el ser una boda junto al Mar. Comodidad, algodones 100% y colores claros.
Camisa de esta temporada de Marni; pantalones del verano pasado de Marni (el tejido es alucinante); cinturon y zapatos de Marni (la piel del cinturón es increiblemente suave y la de los zapatos es preciosa, finísima y engomada) (Se ve claro dónde trabajaba, verdad ;); bolso de mano de Loewe.

Due to the super hot weather in Almería in July and because the wedding was by the sea, I had to think very well what to wear (100% cotton and very soft colours), so this is what I chose: White Marni shirt from this summer; soft blue Marni trousers from last summer (amazing fabric, satin cotton); belt and shoes from Marni from last summer (the leather on both is suuuper soft and the shoes have like a protected film, they are amazing) (You can guess where I used to work, right ;); Loewe handbag.
